In this course of SST the main basic productions in technology of mechanical engineering is production of ferrous and nonferrous metals, processing of metals by traditional technologies (pressure, cutting, molding). Intersectoral technologies include new types of materials processing: laser, electron-beam and plasma technologies. A special group of technological processes include thin film technology, biotechnology and other processes that are used for the manufacture of microelectronics products.

Let us consider in detail the concept of the field of mechanical engineering. Each industry is a set of enterprises United by the economic purpose of the products they produce, and are characterized by a common source of raw materials and materials, production technology, equipment and professional staff. Industry as it develops is divided into complex industries. The technological process includes stages and operations.

Operation – part of the technological stage in which the action on the subject of labor occurs in one or more devices (machines) that serve workers or crew. Operations are divided into basic (technological) and auxiliary.

Technological operations are the object of planning, accounting and control, rationing of material resources, labor costs and its payment.

Auxiliary operations ensure the continuous passage of the main operations. It is control and operational, on-stadiyni (intermediate) operations or final control of compliance of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products to the approved GOST or TU, transportation-movement of raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products, storage and shipment like.

Technological maintenance-ensuring normal operation and safety of workers in accordance with the processes (cleaning, inspection, washing, interoperative surveillance, etc.).
